Basketball House League

Registration is now open for the 2026 House League Spring Basketball Season at Shak's World. We’re proud of our program as it offers young athletes an excellent opportunity to develop their basketball skills while having fun in a structured environment.

The Shak's World 2025 House League Winter Basketball Season runs for 8 weeks, from April 13-June 25 for Grades 3-8.

Players enrolled in our House League Winter Basketball program will receive comprehensive weekly training, including a practice session and a game night each week.

Grades 6-8, practices are held on Tuesdays with games on Thursdays.

Grades 3-5, practice are held on Monday with games on Wednesdays

Jr. NBA 6 Week Training Program

We are thrilled to announce the opening of our 6-Week Jr NBA program at Shak's World Community Centre!

Our Jr NBA program is designed to provide youth between the ages of 6 to 9 with a fun and engaging basketball experience that promotes physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Led by experienced coaches and mentors, this program will provide participants with the opportunity to learn and improve their basketball skills while also building important life skills like leadership, communication, and resilience.

At Shak's World, we're committed to creating a positive and inclusive environment for all participants. Our community centre provides a safe space for important community conversations around diversity and inclusion, and our mentors and coaches are dedicated to promoting respectful and successful athletes and community members.

Teen Small Group Training

Our Small Group Teen Basketball Training Session is suitable for ages 13-17 and is designed for dedicated teen athletes who are ready to elevate their game in a focused, supportive, and high-performance environment. This program offers personalized coaching with a low player-to-coach ratio, allowing for detailed skill development, real-time feedback, and intentional growth.

Date Monday April 13-May 4 from 8:00pm-9:00pm

Athletes will work on:

Advanced ball handling and footwork

Shooting mechanics and consistency

Defensive positioning and on-ball pressure

Game IQ, spacing, and decision-making

Conditioning, agility, and confidence

After School Drop-In

After School Drop-In Schedule

Monday - Thursday 4PM - 7PM

Students grades 4-8 are welcome to join the After School Drop-In program for just $5 Monday to Thursday at Shak's World! Participants aged 9-13 can enjoy an afternoon filled with fun and friendship. The After School Drop-In program runs from 4 pm to 7 pm, offering a wide range of activities in a welcoming, inclusive, and diverse environment.

Make new friends and connect with fellow community members who share your passion for games, puzzles and art.

The After School Drop-In program is a great way to engage in a variety of activities while adhering to Shak's World Community Centre's core values of accountability, integrity, respect, inclusion, and diversity. By participating in the After School Drop-In program, you'll have the opportunity to engage with peers, build lasting friendships, and become a positive role model within the community.
